50 BOOKS
30)) Kushiel's Scion, Jacqueline Carey

INITIAL THOUGHTS:
-I really liked Imri as a narrator. Better than Phedre, I think, though that's not to say I didn't like her.
-CANIS. OMG. He was awesome.
-Lucius too. I'd venture to say he was my favorite character. I found him easy to imagine physically--when I read, the images of most characters kind of shift and fade, but him, Imriel and Eamonn were always very clear. And I just liked his story. The scene where Imriel stays up to comfort him and tell him stories made me feel all warm n fuzzy. And when everyone was cheering his name, I teared up a little. ;_; Ancestral posession is a bitch.
-I liked Eamonn too, but then again he's supposed to be Mr. Cool, so no surprise. :P
-Maybe Carey's style of writing is getting clearer, but I found this one much easier to follow than the other three. Or maybe I'm just not cut out for court intrigue, because those are the parts I'd always find myself going, "Whahuh...? Oh, whatever," and moving on. And there was much less of that in Scion.
-HooRAY for getting to see glimpses of some other Night Court houses. Mwehehe.

Yeah... that's all for now. Fanart is forthcoming.
