EVERYBODY in this country is offended nowadays. In times of hardship for our country and (obviously) others, you would think people would be able to focus on more important things at hand. Not the case. John Tateishi of the Japanese-American Citizen's League had to "take great offense" by an off-color comment by Bill Parcells, one of the most brilliant minds in all of professional sports. Parcells referred to surprise plays his coaches would come up with as "Jap plays", referring apparently to Pearl Harbor. You'd think the families of those who died in Pearl Harbor would be the ones to take offense, but nooo ...
Just the other day I was reading something and some douchebag got mad because the movie "Dodgeball" used the word "chinaman" in it. It's a man (or woman) who hails from CHINA!! What the fuck, honestly?!? Chinese WOMEN don't get pissed because it's not "chinaperson". I mean, hell, could've been worse, could've used chink, slant, rice n***er, or one of many other choices.
I don't even really want to go into Junior Seau's ridiculous comments about "if I said 'love', you'd think i was a fag, but i'm not." However, as far as the gay community being upset about being presented in a negative light, perhaps they should first go after the people responsible for the Queer Eye show. If you don't like negative press and blatant stereotypes, start there.
Fuck.
