More pertinent example: My tenure at my current job (here now). Tomorrow's my last day, which is a strange feeling since I have been working here for well over 3 1/2 years. So I'll do the whole get-taken-to-lunch thing tomorrow (horrible i know), and then when it's time to leave i go and prepare to start the new job on monday. getting books thrown in front of me and teaching myself how to use Lotus Notes should be fun. Not that I'm complaining that they hired me w/o any Notes experience ...
I have finally completed everything on my end for the car transaction. Overnighted the purchasing information w/ my signature earlier today. Once the check goes to the dealer (thanks dad for handling that) and the shipper is contacted, it's only a matter of a couple days before I finally have a fuckin vehicle again.
On a totally unrelated note, let me give you a short synopsis of my evening last night. After going to the winkle for Mike's 21st birthday, we went to Yianni's for a bit (we = me and Baab), and found mike completely wasted, about to get thrown out if he wasn't careful. We took him to McDonald's where he requested nuggets. Anybody in Tally knows that the Tennessee McDonald's is always overrun w/ the po-po at this hour of the morning (2-ish). Well, we started talking w/ the cops just so they knew it was his birthday and to be understanding. They were very understanding and were actually joking with Mike. This didn't please Monster-in-my-throat at all, being made fun of by cops. He called and woke up his dad. Then his mom. Then apparently tried to call his lawyer, and also cursed the 6-piece nugget I had bought him (fuck it, I ate em anyway). Walking him home was a chore, as most of the trip Swoman and I had to physically hold him up as he was on the phone w/ his mother and crying about how the police suck ass, only in a lot more detail. Needless to say, my storytelling doesn't do this justice, but it was a blast to watch 3 cops not being dickheads for once, and actually helping to try to keep our friend in a light mood. A for effort, I guess.

Kill Bill Vol. 2 tomorrow, also Punisher at some point. Me-thinks there's actually a fair amount of stuff going on this weekend, so it should be interesting.
