We're going to have to go to Belgium

As a kid, I loved Belgian Waffles. As an adult, I've loved Belgian Chocolates. Recently, hubby and I have discovered that we love Belgian Beer-especially Hoegarden.

Witbier is very good. Celis White is another good one. I recommend staying away from the New Belgium Mothership Wit, though.. One of these things is definitely not like the other. You might want to try Blue Moon Belgian White, that is one of sweetpotatopop's favorites. I know BM is made by Coors, but it is a tasty beer all things considered. There are several other Belgian beers that are very good, too. Chimay comes to mind

Witbier is an easy style to make yourself as well, even with LME. If you're going to start making Meads, you should consider making beer too ;D

Recently tried to the Honey Moon too, not bad! R. wants to brew beer but I'm all about the mead. Guess we'll have to do both, LOL. Meanwhile, I will keep perfecting my mulled-wine recipe.

There's not really any difference between the equipment for each, so you should totally be able to brew beer using malt extracts. The time you start needing more equipment is when you get to All Grain brewing. But brewing extract beers can be done with the same gear you make mead with :)
