soooo... oddly enough I've decided to update! I'm fulfilling my once a month or so quota, I suppose. I lied about the whole client thing causing me to post more. I havn't if you've noticed. *cough*... ungh... stupid cold.
Anyhoo, things have been going generally well. Soccer season is over, so hopefully I'll have some more time in the future. My work ethic seems to have significantly dropped, though. ah well... The band is taking up a lot of my time, but hey, I wouldn't do it if I didn't like it. We've played one concert, and might be playing another one this saturday at Station 319 in Somersworth. http://www.myspace.com/themaybrickdiaries for updates. I'm glad we brought Jesse on board. He just has riffs coming out of his ass at all times. Riff is another word for small chunk of a song, not a fart or something similar. He definately is the wild flying fingers guy, and i'm the wierd ass rhythm guy. It's funny, Kevin and Matt were at the practice today, and Matt asked me after we finished playing if my favorite band was Meshuggah. I said yeah, and Kevin says "I called that one. I can tell by the way you play". For those of you who don't know who Meshuggah is, it's a damn cool metal band from Sweden that plays all kinds of really wierd off-time riffs. Now imagine if you were to use your perverted definition there. Yeesh... sickos.
Beyond that, just chillin'. I do need to get my ass in gear with school though. I'm still getting decent grades, but i'm also procrastinating a lot more than I used to, which is saying something.
Ooooh... got a nice halfstack for my guitar.. 100 Watt fender FM-100 head and a marshall angled 4x10 or 4x12 cab. Not really sure which. It had just come into the store used when I bought it.
I need a night with the old crew, as much as hanging out with drunk people and cleaning up puke is... Ahh the wonders of being sober. Whatever, when they weren't sloshed it was a good time.
