I imagine that if I were in your shoes then, that one of two things would have happened if not both. Either my hand would have fallen off from all of the smacks to the back of their head or I would have ended up breaking my broom from hitting them upside their head.
You in a fight? It's hard to imagine you coming to blows with anyone. Now you must tell me about it. I insist. ^_^
I was always tempted to see what thickness of books could cause concussion but I relented. They were my friends, after all. Mostly I felt very lucky to have them. For whatever faults they had, they always made up for it threefold.
Ahh, well let me give you some advice. I have a little bit of expertise in this area.
Books as thin as Quidditch Through the Ages could hurt but hitting them hard enough to make it hurt tended to make the book bend a bit. I tell you Madame Pince can be bloody scary sometimes. While books like Hogwarts, A History tend to be perfect. You don't need a lot of force to drive in your point and if you need to use a lot of force the book can handle it.
I'm glad that you had those friends.
I've read the books, all of them. Why?
Now Order of the Phoenix is another good book for hitting people with.
I didn't really want to bring it up, if you didn't know. It was with Sirius, after the...incident with Severus. I don't think I've ever been as angry with anyone in my life as I was with him at that moment.
Ahh, that. We both know that Sirius could be a right royal git at times (and I say that with nothing but love). If it helps, I don't think that he would've held it against you, at least not for very long.
I know that too. But it's a horrible thing to feel, sometimes. It can help you, but...that ferocity. It's too close to other things. (chuckles) Probably why I don't fight unless I have to the rest of the time.
There are very, very few perks, but that was one of them.
Other than that I think I only got into one very serious fight.

I couldn't, not in the end. He didn't even want to put up a fight and I couldn't.
