Wow, its been a while since ive done this!
So last night Meg and I headed to Miltown to see The Academy Is, It was a very interesting night. First we picked up christie and headed downtown, we were early and christie had some film to finish up so we took random pictures...ok i havent done that since like senior year of highschool. So we get to Mcdonalds and we decide to take pictures outside my car, this suv of ghetto boys pull up and they ask to take a picture with us so we decide to let them be part of our randomness, then they preceed to hit on us and ask if they can "Holla at u after the show" to which i say "I dont know" which means no...it was funny as hell though i cant wait to see that picture!
Once inside we got some drinks, holy crap 14 bucks for two rum and cokes! thats crazy...and it was a little bit of coke with the rum it was mighty strong so i drank half of it and then went to a lonely bar tender and asked him to put some more coke in my rum and he did haha. After that one drink i was feeling pretty good...and i was ready to dance! Then we found sarah and nina and the show began..
Hellogoodbye~ These guys are hilarious, they come out on stage doing a rap song and wearing a flava flav clock around their neck. Their songs i love, they are so fun to dance to too. High energy, crazy antics, good songs overall really fun set and id like to see em again.
Acceptance~ I first saw these guys a few years ago with matchbook romance, They were really really good, They played "So Contagious" so i was happy for the rest of my night.
Panic! at the disco~ This band is probably my favorite of the night, no they definitly are. They kicked my ass...it was like a massive dance party and everyone was invited. Incredible performance, huge larger than life stage presence, and if the guy wasnt only 18 id be all over that. I cant wait for them to do a headlining show.
The Academy Is~ Amazing as always, William beckett is a diva...its been confirmed. He may also have a "loaded god complex" its up for debate. They played a plugged version of "The fever" i like it better that way, i just dont like a lot of the new stuff on that ep. It was a good show though, they always put on such a fun show and get the crowd really involved and i like that. Oh and they gave a shout out to Hey Chris...weird, he's obviously found a new band to follow around.
Last nights show was honestly the best ive been too in probably a year. It was just an over all good time and it was like old times and i loved it, i totally needed that few hours away from reality. And the crowd was a little less teeny bopper and a little more respectful concert goers who know not to screech and squeal. After the show we went to Webbs, took some more random pictures, had some breakfast, then drove our exhausted asses back here to pass out.
I think im gonna be sore today from all that dancing. And my throat still hurts.
