My kids have a 4 day weekend this week -- living in the DC area, the inauguration is shutting down a bunch of stuff. As a DC fed, I always get inauguration day off, but the kids usually don't, however, this event tomorrow is looking to be a doozy, so, J has to work and I get the kids for 2 days. Thank goodness for the random play date and inauguration viewing parties.
But the boys were in rare form tonight. Elliott was running around the house after dinner like he'd been given speed for dessert, and Jarrett informed J that feeling tired just watching Elliott meant that J was suffering from Second-hand Exhaustion. Out of nowhere. Apparently, he came up with it himself, after learning about second-hand smoke and reading a comic strip wherein a character had second-hand cheesecake weight gain by watching her husband eat. Then, after Elliott had set himself up with a kitchen drumset of copper molds and Rubbermaid containers, Jarrett proceeded to teach Elliott the fine art of the rimshot. Again, out of nowhere. And joining his brother in visiting the land of nowhere, Elliott responded to a request from me with "yes, mother-dear." Say what? It was an odd night, to say the least.
In the land of TV, I have finally seen all of the Eli Stone episodes from before the New Year, and I want to know if ABC is really going to leave the ending like that? With the bloody nose? Seriously? That's kind of low when you know that the show has something else taped and ready to go. It's not like the show was cancelled over the summer or something.
Second, how long is Dawson revisiting the Creek on OTH? Anyone taken the time to look? It's kind of freaking me out.
And does anyone else think that they should just get to Lucas directing the damn movie himself, already? I mean, he will, right? That's where this has to be going.
One last thing, for some reason the Guide on my cable has started showing a ridiculous # of "To Be Announced" listings. It is making it much more complicated to figure out what I am taping on the DVR each day. I do not approve. At all. Grrrrrrrr.
