Best Friends fight

Sooo... Grey's Anatomy.

Christina let fly on Meredith and the other residents.  Which I agree with.  Fine with me.  Little Panabaker was very, very sad (but why no Big Panabaker to play the sister?  She's not too old to pass for 16, is she?).  Little Grey should not be sleeping with Sloane (although who could resist really?).  Derek is having an existential crisis.  And Izzie is living in one.  Somehow.  And Alex continues to step up to the plate.  When the hell did that happen?  He was emotionally honest and open?  Who is that guy?  And no, Alex won't leave, but will Izzie?  Seems like George might.  How long will it take to get folks to pay attention to the Izzie/Denny situation?  I'm ready for the reveal.  Pick it up, Shonda!  This show can drive me up a freakin' tree, but I just can't let it go.

(Totally unrelated punctuation sidebar:  How does that work with the ? inside the parens?  Do you then put a period outside the parens, as I did above, or is the ? sufficient?  Seems not, but also seems wrong at the same time.  Grammar can suck the fun out of writing down random, incomplete sentences, can't it?)  (See there -- entire sentences contained within the parens -- I know what to do with that.  I think.)

I also watched Leverage, which mastermia  recommended (due to the Christian Kane content).  I also really like Gina Bellman from the British version of Coupling, so I decided to try the first episode.  And I liked it.  I will have to watch some more.  Especially since the review here in the Post said the 2nd episode was better.

In real world TV news, WTF is up with NBC and their 5 nights a week prime time talk show thing?  I like actual TV shows with content.  Bite me.  Go ahead -- make it easier for me to watch other networks.  Idiots.  I don't watch that show now, and I won't watch it when it's on at 10.  Idiots.  Conan must be pissed.

Also, my kids are in a High School Musical phase right now.  I don't believe I was on LJ when I suffered my 1/3 life crisis and reverted to teeny-bopper-dom, but let's just leave it at the fact that I am way too knowledgable about this phenomenon and find it funny that my little guys are 2 years behind the 8 ball.  But hey, that just goes to show that the cool factor is rapidly falling, right?  When the 4 year olds discover you, you must be close to done.

Last, but not least, a work note:  I am done with the baseline budget for 2010!  I know, you all have no idea what I am talking about, but just believe me when I say that this thing has been driving me crazy for months.  I had major legislation that was signed into law 2 months ago yesterday that changed fundamental things related to the child welfare programs I work on and I had a deadline of tomorrow to come up with the financial impacts of those programs through 2019 and I am done!  Yes!  My accounts are entered and balanced, and now, I can start to work on the stuff I have been putting off for weeks and maybe even take a day or two here or there to get some holiday stuff done.  Woooo!!!  (That does not make me a Woo!Girl.  No.)

work stuff, grey's anatomy, leverage, tv
