Chuck had one of the best scenes in a long time tonight.
I loved Casey hitting that high C. "I wasn't hatched, you know." Ha! I loved that entire scene. Just lovely. And I knew I didn't like that Jill person. Ugh. Poor Chuck. It just doesn't work out the way you want, huh? Who knew Stanford was such a hotbed of spy-recruitment activity? Wow. But I was distracted quite a bit in the episode trying to figure out why Chuck and Jill were never running into Ellie in the apartment. If he didn't want Ellie to know, and to be able to maintain his cover relationship with Sarah, then why was he there all the time with Jill? And did he really think that he could get Jill into Buy More and not have Morgan notice? Also, I knew that he had copied the flash drive when they showed him looking at Morgan's locker, so I was not at all surprised at the reveal. And for the bigger questions -- did Jill know he was involved with the CIA when she saw him? Where is Anna? And will Casey sing for us again?
In Chuck related news, Sara Rue was on The Big Bang Theory tonight (sidebar -- what was with Penny's laundry hair? Blech.) and while describing Less Than Perfect (with Zach Levi) to J, I realized that it was, in essence, Ugly Betty. Seriously. The (supposedly) unattractive heavy girl is the assistant in the office with other assistants who are pretty people and she has her little friends who keep her sane, and she is competent (generally), etc. Isn't that Ugly Betty, only not with the Latino cast members? TV really does reuse ideas all the time.
