I switched things up a bit this week--last night I played mini-golf with a friend from out of town, and met some new people. It was good times. There was a little boy there with us, one of my friends sons, and he hit his head so hard on the door at Scandia, that you felt it. That was the kind of loud. He's such a cute little boy, and everybody just stood there, dumbfounded--what can you do to comfort a small child in pain? Really all you can do is get one adult to hold the child and it helps if they have a connection to the wee lad, which in this case I did not.
I did pretty well in the shooting games...I done good, fun times. I played DDR for the first time since surgery...and it felt fine, although I got kinda gross sweaty, and made my friend play for the first time. It's kinda funny cause there he was...this big buff guy playing DDR. He did great for his first time!
Tonight, I went and hung out with Jess in the pizza shop. I figured it would be one of my last opportunities to hang and make some pizza or chill at the shop, as the Corleoni Crime family has sold the joint. Sad and happy. There go the bad memories of scrubbing dough that was firmly fixed on the inside of giant dough containers, and the good memories of laughter, sharing comedic moments, slashing apples in half with giant pizza cutting knives, wearing goggles...So closes a chapter...so closes a chapter.
Friday night we'll be celebrating the close formally. When I say formally, I mean with booze and a lot of laughter, and walking home. Saturday, Wine tour! Yeeha. Sunday,Decorate the new Catering shop, and Monday-the grand opening.
I'm looking forward to it. tired now, maybe I shall read! Tally ho!
PS. Eric, you are a crisp coffee beangalow!
