Delightfully anachronistic, or, at least it reminds me of all the logos of companies represented in "2001: A Space Odyssey" and even "Silent Running" that faded out of existence before the future those two films envisioned.
Oddly, I'm surprised the "new" AT&T hasn't re-adopted that logo, since all the regional companies that were created when the federal government and courts ordered AT&T broken up into regional Bell companies back in 1984 have been slowly regrouping over the last 20-odd years.

I wanted to replace LG logo with GoldStar (LG <= Lucky GoldStar), but had no way to make a sticker small and clear enough.

I guess, they weren't satisfied with their logo merely suggesting Death Star shape, they made it as unambiguous as possible.
