Had my best friend read over what I have so far for Chapter 11.
My best friend does not do fanfic. She understands my motivations, but it's not her thing.
She loved it. Laughed in all the right places and sighed sadly when called for and was generally approving.
That makes me happy and it makes me want to finish it but there is no time. I have cookies to bake for a dinner party in an hour and I've only just got my stage outfit put together for tomorrow night's (OH MY GOD) performance. I don't get to really write again until Tuesday.
Plus we're going to be in the Prom Queen timeline for a little longer, and the next two chapters will be on the short side. They'd been planned to be one chapter called "Before and After" and would have both Blaine and Holly's viewpoints, but I've decided against that. For one thing, it would have involved cutting a scene that I WANT to write and it cannot stand alone. For another, it felt like Holly's scene was going to intrude on the mood of Blaine's, and I didn't want that either. However, her scene is important too.
I think you'll get three chapters before I head out to North Carolina. Maybe.
