Fourteenth PSI

Jul 23, 2010 00:06

[It is time to sum up what Lucas has been doing all summer.  This is the culmination of hours of hard work and dedication.  This is the pinnacle of success for the boy who has been deprived of a normal childhood.  It is also the first time the player has tried a post of this sort.

Four scenarios will be presented.  One is welcome to respond to as ( Read more... )

[The man takes the blow to the face, head leering back at the force. He doesn't look fazed in the least when he faces Lucas again, though a small trickle of blood is running down his face from his nose. He doesn't seem to notice. Rather, he just seems interested.]

How interesting. I've never seen anyone manage such force with a toy before.

[Lucas blinks for a few moments at the man who had popped out of nowhere, seemingly almost confused as to why his yo-yo had suddenly rebounded. It takes another few moments for him to return to reality.]

A-Ah! I'm really sorry; I didn't see you! L-Let me get that for you.

[Fwoosh. Here comes a Lifeup Alpha.]

[He simply stands still and lets Lucas heal him. He doesn't necessarily seem surprised at Lucas' psychic ability as much as intrigued.]

How interesting. Are there many of you here?

W-What? No, there's only one of me, I'm pretty sure.

I meant Ether-users.

They told us to say 'no' to that stuff in health class.

Aw Lucas, you're making me smile repeatsalvation July 23 2010, 03:01:58 UTC
[Amused.]

No. I suppose you could say it's...the source of power. Whether you call it magic, or psionics, or anything els, it comes fromame primary source.

The Ether.

I am in a silly mood. a_gentle_boy July 23 2010, 03:08:18 UTC
. . . Ohhh. Oh, you mean my PSI. No, there's only a few psychics here as far as I know. There are a lot of magic users, though.

Dear Lord, sorry for how late this is. Had been busy. repeatsalvation July 28 2010, 06:31:24 UTC
Mmm.

And your...PSI. Tell me, what can you do with it?

Don't worry about it! a_gentle_boy July 28 2010, 06:39:25 UTC
[Lucas is the kind of guy who thinks everybody is destined to be his friend. He is, however, getting some minor weirdness vibes by now.]

Um. I use my PSI to heal, like what I did just now.

I see.

And that is all you can do with it?

[He tilts his head in interest. It's hard to tell what he'd be wanting to get at. Really, he just seems to want to know.]

Healing and defense. There are some other things, but it'll take a long time to explain. I guess the short version is that I know an attack ability, too.

[He sits down on the grass, cross-legged. He's clearly interested.]

Ah. No, you quite clearly don't feel the part of an aggressor, although I'd suspect it's a role you've had to fulfill more than once against your will, isn't it?

[No malice. Just interest. If he had his powers back, he could know everything there was about the boy. At the moment, all he could do was try and make guesses based on the boy's behavior and speech.

It was an interesting challenge.]

[Weirdness vibes even higher now. Lucas begins to aimlessly play with his yo-yo, accidentally rolling it back a little too far and making him take a few steps back.]

But I was just yelling and screaming and I hit you in the face . . .

That was an accident, yes.

But not many people play with it the way you do. I find that...interesting. I've never seen a human do what you had with a yo-yo before.

[He runs his hand over the patch of scorched grass left by Lucas' Walk the Dog, just examining it.]

It's more the yo-yo, I think. It belonged to a pretty special person . . .
