Banana ketchup!
How exactly did I miss the existence of this? Banana ketchup?
I LOVE ketchup! And bananas are pretty tasty things.
There seems to be two versions of this condiment, the St Lucia type made hot with spices:
Fresh Banana 70%, Tomato 20%, Scotch Bonnet 2%, Spice, Turmeric, Sugar, Lemon Juice, Vinegar, Water, Natural Corn Starch.
and also a Filipino version of banana ketchup or banana sauce which is sweeter:
Ingredients: water, sugar, banana, salt, modified starch, spices, sodium benzoate as preservative, acidulant, onion powder, garlic powder, artificial color.
I need to track down some of the latter.
