Right now I'm listening to some Miles Davis. Tonight I learned the difference between be-bop and hard bop. I also think I'm finally grasping the idea of modal music. Though I'm not too sure about that. That being said...while I really like Thelonius Monk's bebop stuff, I totally think I'm a hard-bop guy. Did you see that. I made a jazz observation. Wow. Discovering new music is so enjoyable.
