Merry Christmas! I haven't updated in awhile and I figure this would be a perfect oppurtunity. I had x-mas w/ my dad and his parnets yesterday and I have to go to my stepmom's random family member's house tonight. I'm wiht my mom tomorrow. I just realized how crazxy that sounds. Oh well. I wish I was with my mom tonight, too. My stepmom's is beyond boring and I can lpay games with my mom's family and no one cares how competitive I get (my stepmom is big on "civil" games ever since I made a girl cry a couple years ago during cranium). My presents weren't the greatest this year but they were ok. My stepmom did all the shopping and thought I would like a portable DVD player. I kind of have one aleady and I have literally never touched it. I don't wantto sound ungrateful but come on, my stepsister got an iPod nano for chrissake's. Wtf? She already has an ipod. Mine got stolen this summer but she gets one? I don't understand. My sister, howver, is apperently awesome at getting me presents. She got me this very hot drawing of Orlando Bloom and I'm excited. God, I'm such a fangirl. Andy and I exchanged presents and wow, are we Rentheads. I got him a black and white striped Mark scarf and rent on DVD. He got me a Build-A-Bear dressed as Mark. Speaking of fangirls lol.
Backtracking a little, the x-mas show I was in ended last weekend. It went pretty good. Our opening night was probably the best. I thought it was gonna be horrible because I got there 20 minutes late for call and was screamed at tp get on stage so our director could chagelike four parts of our dance. 40 minutes beofre our first performance. I thought I was going to freak out. It was fantastic though and I was on this natural high afterwards and I'm walking towards the door to the parking lot and I see someone come out of the Black Box and start locking it up. It was Chirs (our choreographer for my kid's show this summer). I smiled and said "Well, look who it is." We walked out together, talking about the show and our crazy director and how he was gonna try and see it on Saturday. It was a good conversation. You know how when your in a reallyu good mood and then something else really excitng happens how you feel like you could walk on air? Yeah, that's how I was. He did come and see us and he said he was surprised, he thought I was doing crew, not actually in it. But I did get complimented but he said he probably wasn't doing Damn Yankees in the spring (damn!) but that's ok. I probably won't see him until the summer and that's fine with me. As long as his collatta ring doesn't get turned around before then I'll be good.
My mom's family had our annual dinner at Marshall Field's on Friday. I got to bring a friend so Andy came with me. My sister brought her friend Bridget and we all drove downtown together. It was honestly the most fun I've had there since I was a little kid. When we left we took the elevator down to the ground floor and we planned it so that right before we stopped we would all jump. It was awesome! Me and Andy landed on the ground and my sister and Bridget just grabbed the rail on the thing. It was hysterical. We got in the car and I was tired so I decided to use Andy asa pillow and right before we got off the express way he decided that he was going to lay down, too. So my heads on his lap and his is on my stomach. I don't think I've ever been more comfortable. My sister stopped at her work and left us in the car so we just laid there and talked. I don't think I've been that close to anyone in a long time. I really hope we do't fall into a void again.
I watched "A WOnderful Life" this morning with my dad and I actually cried. Pathetic, or what? I couldn't help it though! Everyone was giving George money and it was just such an act of faith and kindness that i was overwhelmed. Oh wow, I've become a sap. I'm gonna go get ready for dinner so I guess I'll update after Christmas. Happy Holidays everyone!
