Last Night
Watched the movie Last Night for sexy Callum Keith Rennie goodness and got way more than I bargained for. Great film and it's going to stay with me for a long, long time. When the movie was over, I felt so disoriented; it seemed strange that the clock was still ticking, that's how deeply immersed I was in the story.
Callum Keith Rennie alternated between awkwardly adorable and sexy as hell (no one does that combo as well as CKR, imo) and Sandra Oh and Don McKellar were both fantastic as the leads who carry the film. Something I love about watching Canadian-made productions is spotting all the familiar faces, and Last Night was no exception. There was Karen Glave who I recognized as the nurse from The Day After Tomorrow and from an episode of Due South, Jackie Burroughs from everything ever -- I knew her first from Smallville, Dead Like Me, and of course, Due South. So many of the actors in the movie have either been on Due South, in Wilby Wonderful, and/or Slings and Arrows, etc. I love that feeling of 'reunion' every time I watch a Canadian production. :)
