HI GUYS.
So I decided to make it public to all individuals after all, to save on some journal confusion. Here is Hojo's supar-sekrit ebil planz0rs and kind of what he hopes happens after all this shit with Shinra goes down proper.
If you are Makubex, Yue, Elena, Rikku, Logan, GLaDOS, or Jenova, you are welcome to be aware of these plans. For all other characters, this is purely OOC knowledge until they're able to uncover it ICly.
SO. Hojo met Yue at one point, because Yue had something he wanted to try and required the scientific expertise to achieve it. They discussed the possibility of opening a communicative passage out to the other worlds from which they originated, so that messages could be sent to loved ones. As a result, Hojo gets some bastardised little theory going that Purgatorium is, in fact, bound by dark perimeters because that is where the universe ends. He believes the Purgatorium city is its own microscopic little universal membrane, surrounded by infinitely larger universal membranes that are connected to it and through which the gods can locate and pull through individuals from the other side.

With that said, what he thinks he must do is punch a hole through those universes in order to create a gateway. SOUNDS LIKE A PERFECTLY REASONABLE AND TOTALLY SAFE CONCLUSION, RIGHT? :D
Now this is where his crazy kicks in. Why should he use that for communication? If he has that power, infinite numbers of universes are at his absolute mercy; he can pull a Sephiroth, travel around, eat some planets, have a party in any place his mind can conceive of. He uses Jenova as a springboard; she has that genetic power, and so she can create obedient minions to his will.
Then he meets GLaDOS. It is love at first sight. Why? Because she is a perfect trans-universal portal gun just WAITING to happen. Granted, it'll take some restructuring. Enter Rikku. And it'll also take some reprogramming. Enter Makubex. And it'll also take some defending, as will he, when the noose starts tightening. Enter Logan.
GLaDOS is now safe at a warehouse, dangling merrily away with power supplied to her thanks to the gods. It's only a matter of time, Hojo believes, before she can become a portal-maker and make his dreams a reality. He HOPES that, even once he is captured, his minions will continue to do his will, and reconstruct her.
Of course, it won't work. <3 But can't blame a crazy scientist for trying.
