History: It is speculated that Yuffie was born near the end of the Wutai War, her mother is never mentioned and presumed deceased, a victim of the war. As a young girl, Yuffie grew up in Wutai, hearing of the traditions and mystique of the great nation, but for her Wutai was being turned into a tourist trap for outsiders, something that didn’t sit well with her. Yuffie turned to stealing materia from passing travellers in her mission to make Wutai the place it once was.
Yuffie first encountered Cloud and the members of AVALANCHE in the forest where she challenges them for their materia, after being defeated she joins the party with the plan to sneak away with their mateira, which she does, much to the annoyance of the other members.
Yuffie doesn’t get far though, ending up captured by Don Corneo and tied to a rocky cliff top along with the Turk Elena. When saved by the group, she returns their materia and joins them for good this time.
At the end of FFVII Yuffie is helping Vincent to evacuated Midgar, piling an injured Rufus Shinra into a helicopter and warning Vincent to be careful, she then saves him in Mako Cannon from a lightening strike.
Yuffie is only seen near the end of Advent Children, aiding AVALANCHE in the battle against the Bahamut SIN. She later swoops in with the rest of AVALANCHE, materia in hand, ready to aid Cloud in his battle against Kadaj. She is last seen in the Church as the children are all cured of their Geostigma.
Roleplay Sample - Log: “Seventy four orbs of Magic on the wall, seventy orbs of magic, take one down, cast it on Seph. Seventy three orbs of magic on the wall.” Yuffie sighed heavily, tossing her scrunched up ball of paper behind her with the other twenty-six she’d previously gone through.
“Bored, bored, bored.” She muttered. Labs weren’t fun. In the least. Beyond the stupid little experiments, and the closed in space, she got so bored, so very easy. “Hey!” She shouted to the ceiling. “You listening to me? Lemme go!” Wasn’t a chance of that, was there.
Stuck and bored and running out of paper. Yuffie sighed again. “Seventy three orbs of Magic on the wall…”
