[ She's been generally taking it easy; Jade limits movement to a minimum, even if her feet are technically good to go. She gingerly walks over to the door (it still aches a little, and she doesn't want to try running) and opens it. ]

Hi Dave! What's up?

[ It's obvious that she's quite surprised; she hasn't seen him around much. ]

[He shrugs, smiling widely.]

Not much, really. Just thought I'd see how you're doing.

[ She points to her ankles, both of which are in slightly awkward, soft walking casts. ]

They still ache sometimes, but that's okay. I think they'll probably ache for forever.

[ She is a little weirded out by the smile, to be honest. It's disconcerting, throwing her off of her game. ]

[ She hesitates -- what if he's still feeling sad and guilty? -- but then smiles back and takes his hand. Ugu. ]

[ She squeezes his hand and starts to walk towards her bed so they can sit down. It's obvious that she's never going to be able to run quite so quickly as she did before, especially not right now. Her steps are still quite stiff. ]

What did you want to do? Just talk, or watch a movie, or...?

[He floats to the bed as well. Normally he'd be paying very close attention to the stiffness of her movements and hating himself for it. Right now those feelings fail to penetrate the overwhelming HAPPINESS.]

I'm fine with whatever you want to do. There's something I want to talk about, but it's nothing huge so I can say it during a movie or something.
