[Lavi called Kanda over to his new apartment a few doors down in a somewhat (now) old-fashioned way. He didn't want anyone else to know, to question, though he knew that Val was probably still watching. After all how else would she have known that the staff planned to shut down the station yet again? Yet Lavi had written the note to Kanda anyway and slipped into the room while Kanda was out and placed the note on the swordsman's pillow."I need to talk to you about something important. Come to my apartment as soon as you can. Please.

Once back in his apartment Lavi started picking up stray things, straightening the bit of mess made in his living room. Then pacing and a bit more almost OCD straightening. Finally Lavi just made himself grab a book and read on the couch but even that was futile, all he ended up doing was staring at the words blankly until the ink blurred into one big blob. He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, leaving them in the red strands, book on the floor.
