Team Air Lock skinners_box January 31 2012, 15:19:46 UTC
For the team gathered in the transportation hub on level three, dealing with the airlocks. They can scatter to other teams once they're done.

[Ten minutes. By her estimate, that left them about two minutes for a last-minute briefing, seven minutes to destroy all the cameras on the third level, and one minute to begin disrupting the airlock's controls before it became too late to stop them from opening.

Once they were on to the second stage of the plan, they would have a bit more time, but it was likely that the Consortium would be trying to open the airlocks as soon as they knew the self-destruct failed. They needed to finish stage one before then.

Helion closed her eyes, mentally reviewing the cameras she would need to clear out, and trying to calculate the time it would take as she waited for the moment they were to begin.]

You ready for this? [Alfred is nearby, tense and waiting for the moment everything goes down] Remember: straight to the airlock. No distraction.

[Kimblee has recovered from his entry blast and is preparing himself for the trek into the transportation area. He's but a mere human and all of these people running by him at insane speeds make him feel, well, rather incompetent, but his duty is to make it to the main airlock and disrupt it's functioning bu any means necessary so that's what he will do. As he starts making his way towards the transportation area he starts looking around for a way to make it there faster, be it machine or ally he hasn't a whole lot of time to kill.]

[This was it! Once they had gotten the signal, Fujino had run off, going around a couple of corners before finding one of the smaller airlocks, twisting it in no time flat, and heads off to search for another one.]

[As soon as the doors were open allowing them into the station and their mission began, Apollo is off into the air like a shot, trailing light like a comet and streaking through the corridors. Sorry to anyone who wanted a last-minute briefing, he's not having any of that - there's work to be done, and he's not sure any of them can even keep up with him.

He'll be around eye-lasering cameras into slag.]

[Up ahead, a dark swirling portal appears above an unsuspecting camera, Naminé's delicate hand reaching out from within it. She quickly casts a gravity spell that rips the camera from its position, then renders it useless with a small jolt of lightning. It clatters to the ground, and then she withdraws to head off to the next one.

If Apollo hasn't eye-lasered it by now.]

[He pauses at that sight, intrigued by the portal. It reminds him of the Doors his team uses, but... different. He's streaking toward her.]

How'd you do that? [Oh look there's a camera, zapping that now.]

[She jumps a little, realizing she had been concentrating a little too intently on her job. She gives him a small nod in greeting before opening up another portal with a touch of her hand over the space in front of her.]

It's magic, in a way. It's a little hard to explain without explaining what I am.

[You thought no one else could keep up with you, Apollo? Wrong. Carol can. In fact, she's flying right up beside you, blasting any camera she sees. Between the two of them and the rest of the team down below, this shouldn't take long]

[Oh, so someone can keep up with him! This should be fun. Apollo can't help but grin slightly and push himself a little faster, firing off another blast at a camera and turning the corner.]

And here I thought I'd be doing most of the work.

[She blasts a camera on her side of the wall, keeping pace with him while he turns the corner]

Hey, can't let you have all the fun right?

[It's a good thing countries have a lot of endurance, because the Consortium is trying their damndest to get through here and Alfred and co are having kind of a hard time keeping them out. He's got water on hand for those who need it, and is keeping a close eye on the airlock itself for any signs of breaching]

[Naminé has returned to report what cameras she's managed to destroy, emerging from out of a portal of darkness. She walks towards Alfred quietly, not wanting to break the concentration of those working on the seal.]

[He looks up as she approaches, offering her a tired smile] Hey. How'd everything go? You run into too much trouble?

[She shakes her head quietly.]

Not really. [She is sort of actively avoiding any conflict to begin with.] I destroyed all of the cameras I could find. I think Apollo is double checking the area to make sure we didn't miss any of them.
