Heavy breathing afflicted her as she ran. Running for as long as she could until her sides ached and her legs were hugely sore. Falling down on her knees, she clutched her sides in an effort to keep her self from completely falling over. Tears were threatening to spill out, but she bit her tongue in an effort to keep them from rolling.
Everything was falling apart; her facade, her soul...not even her mind, which had become irreparable at this point. The only hope she could barely cling to now was nowhere to be seen, as much as she needed to see him right now.
Clutching her chest while running a silent prayer in her mind, she banked on wishing hard enough for it to come true.
