Who: Maka, Allen, and Bakura When: Monday night, week 1 of 4th wall Where: outside somewhere Summery: Allen and Bakura go into Maka's soul to try and reach her in her insanity Warnings: angst Rating: Pg-13 just in case.
"Play?" Bakura echoes, frowning and staring hard at Maka in return. With the black collar, his metaphysical senses were no longer dulled and he's struck by how much of just like Ishtar the vibe rolling off Maka is. He'd neither spoken to nor inquired about the blonde girl since their shouting match in person, but he was certain if this was the state she'd been in since that point, he'd have heard about it by now.
"Fool girl," he spat. "And I thought you couldn't have become any weaker."
Before Maka can dodge them both, Bakura shoots out an arm to grab her and she isn't quick enough to dodge it. With Bakura's grip on her arm, she also has no room to dodge the clown belts, and they wrap securely around her free arm. She stares at them and tries to shake them off, looking more put out than actually upset.
Like the way that it had immediately latched onto Allen when he had touched her, Maka's insanity slams into Bakura like a tidal wave through the physical contact. Yet rather than pull away, the thief's grip tightens even as Allen's clown belts take hold. He doesn't look alarmed or even confused as to the feeling... but almost like he's drawing it in.
However his voice remains level and controlled as he addresses the exorcist. "What did you do to her? This is only marginally an improvement from her being a broken puppet."
Her head twists from one of them to the other and she tugs at her arm again starting to get frustrated. Maka focuses on both of them and purposely sends the force of the madness wavelength at either of them.
Bakura's mouth turns down in a frown as the madness rolls over him again, but after centuries upon centuries of being parasited upon by Zorc, he merely internalizes the chaos and instead pinches Maka's chin lightly in his fingers, forcing her to look up and meet his gaze.
"'Happened to' seems to be the right term," he answers Allen without looking at the other white-haired one. "This isn't something she's done to herself, this is..."
His eyes narrow a bit, seeming almost to stare right through her. "An intrusion. She's shut herself away. To break it she'd need to be pulled out of her soul room."
Maka isn't paying attention to the words, still tugging at her arm and sending more and more madness wavelengths at them. She feels the 14th pulling back, and tries to latch on, outwardly grinning.
The thief hums thoughtfully, his hand coming up to brush against the material of his shirt as though he's used to something resting there, yet finding nothing. Feeling the insanity wavelength increase, he murmurs under his breath, "Sha-i, kekewey kefa," while putting a force of will and heka behind it. If the impromptu spell worked, it should draw the madness away from Allen and into himself.
"Not enough power to force the way in..." he says, more to himself than Allen. Then he turns his gaze to the exorcist and answers, "But there are other ways. A temporary disconnect between body and mind would do it... yes, that should work just fine."
He pushes Allen towards Maka and orders, "Kiss her."
"Either you kiss her and give me the few seconds of distraction that I need to get into her soul room," Bakura says with an eerie smile. "Or I will have to come up with something myself, and it will be a good deal less innocent."
"Fool girl," he spat. "And I thought you couldn't have become any weaker."

"This is boring!" And she doesn't have a weapon to do anything about it.
