Who: Riku and everyone who wanted to play Monopoly with him
When: Thursday afternoon
Where: Rec room
Summary: Board games, yo. This is just a log so we can play out the beginnings of getting together to play! I think acting out the whole game would be exceedingly boring, so we'll decide who wins somehow later and go from there. :3 Also, feel free ( Read more... )

[Nill arrived probably a bit after they had started playing; she didn't want to intrude on the game, especially since she had no idea how to play. Once she feels as if it's okay to enter the rec room, she quietly pokes her head in the door, wings flitting against her back. She's still dressed in one of her lolita dresses, since one had been in the room when she'd arrived. She didn't know why or how, but it was her size so she might as well wear it, right? Ever so slowly she inches her way into the room, trying not to disturb anyone who's currently playing. All she really wants to do is watch for a little while, anyway.]

[Ritsuka's attention is turned to the sound of Nill entering the room. His head turns to look at her and he frowns.]

Was someone else coming?

I asked Nill if she wanted to watch.

[He lifts a hand to greet her -- he hasn't seen her in a little while and so he's finding it harder to recognize her right off, but he knows it's her.]

[Since she was expecting them to be here, it doesn't take much for her to recognize them--them being the few people she already knew. It takes a few moments, but she does enter the room fully. Nill raises a hand in greeting, making her way to the table.]

[That makes her smile a bit, and she more readily steps towards them. The blonde shrugs a bit, grin still in place. She eyes the game, not sure what's going on, but finding it interesting nonetheless.]

[Mindy pouts at the board] Dammit, Ritsuka. you've got both the purple spaces and all I've got are the shitty blue ones.

[She glances up at Nill]

What's up? I'm Mindy. [She pauses a bit, thinking, and then switches to international sign language]

Did a lot of work where I had to talk quietly with a guy with binoculars in another building, so if this is easier I can translate.

[She shakes her head at Ritsuka, then remembers that he can't see. She quickly goes to him and gently takes his hand, tracing N-O on his palm. It's then that she sees the other girl; Nill appears to be infinitely more comfortable now. But when Mindy starts using sign language, all Nill can do is stare, almost entranced. She has no idea what the girl is doing, and it shows. Almost automatically, she raises her hands and tries to mimic some of the gestures, failing miserably. But it's a solid effort.]

It's a language that sometimes people who can't use to talk where I'm from.

[There follows a slightly awkward pause from Mindy]

D'you wanna be on my team? We're gonna win. Least that's the plan.

[Nill stops just a split second after Mindy does, and lets her arms drop to her sides. It's kind of obvious that she's also embarrassed, mostly for not knowing what the other girl was doing. But she quickly nods at the question, and steps towards her, wings flitting behind her back.]

[Ritsuka's memorized where Mindy and Rainbow Dash live, mostly because they live next door.]

And it's not my fault that I've got them all. I think I have all the greens too, don't I?
