Todd didn't like giving cheap Christmas gifts. He certainly didn't like giving handmade Christmas gifts. As far as he was concerned, Christmas was the time where he could flaunt his success buy buying huge, expensive stuff for the people he liked. If he were back home, that's what he'd be doing, if only because he knew that Matthew wouldn't be able to afford anything too big.
Unfortunately, his money and fame didn't carry over here. Neither did Lucas's, so at least they'd be on even ground. But he couldn't help but miss the opportunity to show off. As far as he was concerned, being rich and famous was pretty much his best quality, and being without it was one reason why he felt so vulnerable here. He wondered if Lucas felt the same way.
He knocked on Lucas's door, the arm that was holding the gift held behind his back.
