Summary: There is no better time to investigate your best friend's emotional state than when he's half asleep.

[ When she wakes up, sprawled unceremoniously on Dave's bed, she realizes that this is probably the best time to catch Dave unaware. Something about that causes a knot of guilt to build up in her stomach -- this is spying, not interrogating. And while she approves of Dave talking about his feelings, she's not quite so sure she approves of having to report those feelings to Val afterwards.
Still, this was going to help him. She had to remember that.
Sliding off of the bed, she curls up next to her older friend on the ground, facing him. The blanket she put over him on the way into the room is still draped a little wildly, so she crawls under that before poking him gently in the cheek. ]
Dave, are you awake?
[ Poke. Poke poke. ]
