[He'd put it in a box, because that was easier than carrying the thing itself. He felt stupid, holding it when it was just itself: at least a big metal box was easy to carry without causing too much damage to. His fingers were already indenting the sides, though, and he'd barely walked across the hall. It was slippery in his grip, and he was definitely nervous, though he figured that he shouldn't have been. She hadn't asked for this. If she didn't like it, that was her problem. Not his. He was being thoughtful. Kind. Generous. She should be grateful.
He shouldn't be so condescending. This was a...what was it called? A Christmas gift. Whatever the heck silly nonsense "Christmas" was. Some religious thing, that weird human girl had said. Equius had never been fond of the idea of religion, anyway. It had always seemed so frivolous and nonsensical.
Equius shifts the box in his hands, scowling. He goes into suite 34 without a care in the world and marches over to room A. So what if Jack Noir throws a fit? He really doesn't care, at this point. It's not like he has anyone around whose job it is to tell him that it's dangerous, anymore.
He stares at Aradia's door for a long minute before he reaches out and taps on it with one finger, sweating.]
