[Mindy's got her nice homemade dress from Wonderland on (http://www.flickr.com/photos/57510660@N08/5836952760/ minus the hat) just wandering around aimlessly, eating, looking for her date for the evening and mostly eating. God, why was food this good so hard to come by?]
You like it? [She twirls, showing off the dress. Girl manages to make gears and random scavenged straps look pretty good. She's also been doing some growing while nobody's looking, and the taller, leaner figure helps with the dress]
I made it m'self.
Have you seen a kittyboy? He was the nicest looking guy my age going to the dance, and I can't seem to find him.
[If he'd been sober he'd realise that she's not quite a tiny against him as she was, but at the moment it means it's just a bit harder for him to manage to pat her cute little head]
I haven't seen one of those, but if I spot one, I'll give you a yell.
[Ritsuka is wearing What Val gave him, but he looks rather miserable. His ears are set to the sides, though he keeps trying to set them back up so she won't notice that he's frustrated and sad.]
You look really pretty. Did you make it yourself?
[He offers her his brightest fake smile ever, even though his words are sincere. Mindy does look really pretty and she's such a nice girl.]
Well, I'm kinda hungry, but d'you want to dance first? I can teach you, no big deal. it's a good song for it. [She giggles happily]
And by the way, I talked to your.... your Soubi. He seemed totally cool with it. I think he was just worried you were gonna get snagged by some weirdo.
[She holds her hand out to him, smiling hopefully]
[If Soubi was okay with it then he would be talking to Ritsuka by now. Ritsuka wished that he could have fun here with his new friend instead of worrying about how much Soubi hated him now.]
Yeah, let's dance.
[He just hoped that he didn't step on Mindy's feet.]
[Dont worry, Mindy's used to dancing with inanimate objects as partners, Ritsuka's an improvement. She'll stay a good distance away from him, though she's close enough that as they turn he might get a little hair brushing his cheek, and she does have some nice perfume on]
He's just pouting a little. My dad used to do the same thing. He cares about you, that much was pretty obviously not lying.
[She smiles both to reassure him and at his attempt at dancing]
[Ritsuka can't help but laugh. He really makes a lame kind of guy. He's blind and he can't dance so leading is completely out, and Mindy seems to know everything about this sort of thing when he doesn't.]
Maybe Val should have put you up for auction instead of me. You make a better date.
[Which wasn't something he'd expected to find in this stupid auction thing. Mindy was kind of awesome. Like a Superhero girl Natsuo without the pouncing and biting.]
Japan. You were American right?
[If America even existed in her world. Her accent was decidedly that though. Very pronounced and tangy. It was like the accents in the American movies he used to watch with Seimei from time to time.]

[He smiles again, it's less forced then it was before.]
Do you want to dance ... or get something to eat?
[He wanted Mindy to have a good time. Especially since she had to bid.]

You're doing fine.

[Maybe he'd try to teach Soubi how to dance if Mindy taught him. That would be nice, right? Not a bad thing.]
Other then my friends and Soubi no one really worries about me back home.
[At least family wise. He carefully tried to spin Mindy, one foot landing squarely on hers before it quickly raised again and his cheeks colored.]
S-sorry.

Don't worry about it. I steel toe all my flats. Force of habit. [She wiggled her foot.]
you do it like this. [She holds his arm up a little higher, and turns him a little]
And you catch me at the waist, like this.
[She spins gracefully, dress jingling a little as she does]
