Yukina sat in her bed, nervous. She didn't like what has been happening, but she didn't know what to do. Yukina wasn't a fighter, so she could just get Bucky to stop. Right now she was basically feeling useless.

Slipping back into her bed, Yukina turned over onto her side, facing the wall and closing her eyes. What else could she do? Not that she could actually sleep right now; she was just trapped in her room.

Ohhhh, it was just too much. Joker had been hanging back, filming passively, making sure they worked through the list, but this was just too precious. He slid in after Bucky, humming quietly and infuriatingly to himself.

"evening, princess. We're going to play a little game."

The humming, the following, it's annoying as hell because Codename: Winter Soldier prefers to work alone, quietly. But he's worked for sadists before, and this one holds all the cards and gives all the orders, so he doesn't disobey. He does shoot him a vaguely annoyed look before he moves impassively to the bed and hauls the girl up by her wrist.

He doesn't speak.

Surprised by the sound of another's voice, Yukina sits up and finds the Joker and Bucky there.

"What-?" Before she can finish her sentence, Bucky grabs her, causing her to let out a cry. "Papa! Papa! What are you doing?" Then she glares at the Joker. "What did you do?"

"Do?" The Joker's smile ratchets up to a whole new level of horrible.

"I didn't do anything. I'm just here to watch."

He leans back on the wall, eyes glittering maliciously in the dark pits around them.

"You know.

You could stop him.

You could even kill him, probably. No offense, mister Barnes, but I know what this one is capable of."

The Winter Soldier grits his teeth at the crying. "I'm not your papa." He isn't a man. He has no family, no name, no home except a cryogenic tube. He only tugs her a little closer and reaches for her throat. Strangulation should suffice to knock her unconscious and then he can snap her neck... But when the Joker speaks, he gets distracted, turns his glare toward his handler. "I can handle a little girl."

She looks back to Bucky for a second. He could kill her easily, all because she didn't want to fight.

"You are! Here you are. Don't do this. Don't listen to that man. You told me not too, remember? He is evil, like elder Toguro. Please don't listent o him anymore."

Both of Yukina's hands were on his arm, holding onto him.

Joker slips around to get a better view, the malicious smile never leaving his lips.

"Ahhhhh, but you're not a little girl, are you?

Demon.

You're a devil, a fiend, a little monster. You could freeze his breath and send ice through his heart, and then you could teach me a few lessons, couldn't you?" Joker giggles.

"Just think of how good that would feel. Are the heroes really doing such a good job? You could fix everything right now."

"I haven't told you anything. I'm not who you think I am." The Winter Soldier's lips tighten into a thin line in his face as he tosses her against the wall. Not as hard as he should have, damn it, he should have cracked her skull open, but he didn't, why didn't he? Truth is, maybe it's that deeply buried sense of self the Russians took so many precautions against. He hasn't been re-programmed this week like they used to.

"You talk too much," he says, shooting the Joker a look. "Do you want me to off her or not?"

"I am a demon, but I'm no monster!" She snapped at the Joker before turning back to Bucky.

"Please. Don't listen to him. He's an awful person. You don't want to do this." Because she will defend herself and she would hurt him.
