[He was trying to deal with his own mind, he was trying to deal with the issues that rolled around inside his brain, things that he thought he was over but now they all came rushing back and had been rushing since day one at the facility. The faces over the network, he had not seen what had really happened the last few weeks but he had heard the screams and listened to the war from the hideaway that he had been shoved within. It was traumatizing, the entire situation was and then week after week the situation did not change. For a child in a situation like his own, he did not have any stability, no structure. Still, when the voice finally sounded he looked up immediately and stared at the pale figure standing before him.

He was almost scary to look at, with the color of his eyes and the color of his hair. So he paused and watched him before stumbling to his feet and stepping away as the other approached. His chest came to rise and fall a little quicker as he made sure to keep his distance, eyes not leaving his face. While he didn't appreciate being called brat, he replied.]

Nothing. [He shook his head.]

Nothing.

[Accelerator's expression didn't change much, he just seemed mildly confused, maybe a tad bit surprised. He was more than used to terrifying people--after all, he spent ten years of his life working his hardest to scare people so badly that rather than constantly attacking him, they'd all leave him alone and he could finally live his life in peace without having to harm anyone ever again. Still, he didn't hold the reputation of the strongest, most terrifying monster here like he did back home, so he hadn't made someone tremble like that in awhile.]

Doesn't sound like fucking "nothing."

[He let out a loud, exaggerated sigh, and did his best to sound disinterested.]

[And he's doing a good enough job sounding disinterested to the point where Colin is questioning what he wants exactly. He could leave the room as simply as he walked in or just let him pass, let him flee but instead he kept speaking. With a quiet glance, he kept near the bookshelves and away, hearing the sigh of the other catch the air and not responding to it with anything epic, just those large eyes and nervous expression.] It's nothing.

[He tries to detour the other with repetitiveness and in all honesty--he didn't know what to say.]

I'm fine.

I spend enough time around brats to know that that's not how one that's "fine" acts. Your behavior is really starting to get on my fucking nerves, you know.

[He rolled his eyes, moving his cane over slightly so he could shift his weight impatiently. A few months ago he probably would've left the kid--not his problem, after all--but he had come far enough that he couldn't ignore a child sitting all alone when something was so obviously wrong.]

[Colin was no fool, he could read body language and quietly he watched the other as he shifted his weight and then leaned back more against the shelf, taking in another breath and releasing it quietly. Why was the pale figure there then? If he was just going to stand there and berate him for his replies, he wondered why he stayed and honestly wished he would just leave instead of standing there insulting him.

So, if he does not like his replies--he simply stands still and says nothing. If the other was annoyed--then he could leave. His gaze turned to the side, away from Accelerator.]

[With another overdone sigh, he crouched down and rested a hand on his cheek boredly--acting as if holding his head up was too much effort to bother with. Most people would've probably thought to do so earlier, but Accelerator was someone that usually purposely tried to intimidate people and didn't care if he did so when he didn't. Besides that, standing at 5'5, very few people found his height at all intimidating so it wasn't usually something to consider.]

I don't have all goddamn day.

[He still does not move, he still does not turn to look up at the other and remains quiet. A few breaths and he is wondering what the other wants from him really because to him it's obvious he does not want to talk, does not want to share whats on his mind and by now he would hope he would have given up and left. Brows furrowed, he pulled his hands into the sleeves of his coat and wringed them together.] I just--

Didn't remember falling asleep here, 's all. [And it's the most he'll say about it.]

...And something that simple is really that terrifying?

[He's not buying it, Colin.]

[His eyes slowly and hesitantly trail upwards to meet the others gaze. He holds the stare for a moment before turning away and giving a small but sharp nod of his head.] Yes.

[Is all that escapes his mouth and it passes from his lips like a whisper.]

What's the problem, then? Can't you just get back to your room?

[The hallways weren't filled with monsters or anything--well, okay, it probably depended on who was walking down the hall but his point still stood.]

I-- [He watched the other carefully before shifting his steps. Giving the other a wide birth in movement, he didn't let his eyes move from the view of the paler figures feet in the least--quietly making a line towards the door.

If the other wanted to stand there and get on him about it, he would just leave--it wasn't worth the attempted conversation.]

[Accelerator pulled himself to his feet with a sigh, watching the boy like a hawk. The entire encounter had been...strange.]
