[Dick has yet to change into his own batsuit surprisingly. Instead of going straight for the Bat persona, Dick actually was still in his civilian clothes and scouting around the place for supplies. Of course he ends up doing this from morning to some odd hour in the night. He didn't want people seeing him head into the building.

If they were establishing a building that would work as a base, he wanted them to have any possible supplies they could keep. Food and water were a priority, that could be stashed throughout the week. Weaponry and anything else, he wanted to get sooner though.

He had a lot of doubts this place would be a walk in the park.

Especially when he returns and drops a few guns of different sizes along with whatever ammo he could carry onto an old table.]

I'm not a fan of firearms, but if this place is how I imagine it's going to be, we might want to actually arm ourselves for once. We don't know what might actually attack this time. Last trip was at least obvious, but there's nothing in this town but us right now. [A pause.] Those who can shoot should be the only ones who should be holding a gun though. [Unless they taught everyone to shoot otherwise.]

'Less bandits attack us or something. [Alfred's looking pretty cheerful, sitting back from the table with a chipped mug full of dark coffee] Got some coffee from the store earlier, dude, you want some? There's a tin mug; makes you feel all old-western-like.

[And eyeing those guns with pleasure] Anything you recognize?

I don't know if we'll have bandits attack, but we should be ready for anything that hits us. [He smiles tiredly.] Coffee sounds good right now actually. I wanted to make another run for more ammo honestly. I don't know how available supplies will be next week or the week after. I want to stock up while things seem quiet right now.

I can probably fire any of these guns. I had extensive training to put together and apart any type of gun that could be used against me. I got extra training while in the Academy too, so it's standard procedure that I know how to work them. I just don't like to use them.

Over there on the counter. [Alfred jabs his thumb backward to a cracked but steaming pot of coffee. He's leaning back in his chair now, feet against the counter keeping him up] I'm gonna try and fix up the ship better tomorrow, so I can do some supply runs more safely in her.

Yeah? Awesome. [Still eyeing that pile, he can pick out a couple models he knows, or at least types he recognizes] Why dont'cha like to use 'em? Best defense for people who can't defend themselves. [But Alfred smiles] Guess you can though huh?

[He makes his way over to the pot to pour himself a cup. This is a little better then Wonderland. At least in terms of first week.] How well does it run? I can help you fix it up a bit. I don't know if the technology is more advance then my own, but I used to work with cars before. [And things like the Batmobile.]

Guns are meant to kill usually. My mentor was very strictly against them, but I needed to know how to handle them. I had to learn how to work them because I'd be disarming them from villains. [He takes a long sip from his cup.] They don't bother me. It's just not my thing either.

She runs pretty well but there's still a few kinks in the system. She purrs, but not quite right, y'know? I figure I can take her apart again an' look once we have everything we're really gonna need. I'd be glad for the help. [Alfred sips his own coffee again, humming in content]

Yeah, I see whatcha mean. What do you use? I've seen some of the stuff, but you got anything else cool to fight with?

I wouldn't mind helping. It'll give me something to do and it'll help in the long run. I don't know what we're in for, but I like being at least prepared. [If not over prepared.]

A various amount of weapons. I keep a taser, batarangs, and a few other things in my utility belt. I guess I usually rely on my Escrima sticks though.

[Bucky hasn't slept at all. There have been too many arrangements to make, people to find, things to do. He's left supplies to other people and instead worried about security measures and setting up the living space to be a central base. Any guns hidden in the house have been found and laid out on the same table.

When Dick returns to add to the pile, Bucky, still dressed in civvies - jeans and a plaid shirt - shifts to look through the firearms he's brought with a critical eye. Man knows his guns.]

Not a bad idea. I don't think this trip is going to be three weeks of playing space pioneer, but I haven't seen or heard of anything dangerous yet... [He picks up a rifle, tests the aim through the sight.] I can teach others how to shoot if need be. I'm thinking Hawkeye shouldn't have a problem unless it's moral. Don't know about everyone else, though.

[Dick runs a hand through his hair, glancing over each gun carefully. He really wasn't a fan of using them, even if he was skilled with them.]

If only it was, but that would be too nice. I'm pretty sure they think we're long overdue for something terrible on this trip. Last trip wasn't too bad as far as the place itself was. It was only stressful because of the players out on the field. But we're in a deserted town. The only inhabitants are us. There are currently no creatures lurking. Not even at night. I'm pretty sure this is just something to put us in a sense of security. [He idly puts one of the pistols apart, only to put it back together. Probably to keep his hands preoccupied.] I can also teach shooting. We had to learn it to know what we were going against. I honestly would hope that they don't have to learn how to use them though, but it might be safer if they at least knew how to shoot one in case.

[That's one area they differ greatly in. Bucky is extremely appreciative of firearms, and it probably shows in the way he handles the rifle, testing the feel in his hands, the mechanisms. Here's a man who has been shooting guns near his entire life, likely. A man who's shot people before, and lost that fear of it.]

If there's nothing bad here off the bat, I'm willing to believe there's something awful in store for us next week. Either with the experiment or with introduced obstacles. [He glances over at Dick curiously, setting down the rifle and testing a handgun, comparing it to his own sidearm.] You sure you've got no problems shooting? You're not comfortable with it. [A statement, not a question.]

I'm not worried about next week. I'm more worried about the last week. Next week will probably have something, but I always feel like that these trips are meant to throw us under a bus before we leave. [He glances back at Bucky for a moment.] I have no problems shooting. But it really depends on who or what I'm shooting. I've got a rule jammed into my head all these years, but it doesn't mean I can't shoot them. I don't have to kill them anyways. As long as they're incapacitated in some say, it's the same thing.

There's no telling what might happen next week and the week after. The way things have been, they're... I think they're getting more unpredictable. Changing things up. Maybe it's going to be two weeks of hell after one week of peace this time since Wonderland was a pretty even level of Consortium-induced bad all three weeks.

[Bucky is quiet for a few moments, taking the clip out of his sidearm to check the ammo versus some of the gathered rounds.] That depends on what they throw at us or what happens with the... residents. Incapacitated doesn't always do it.

Unlike Wonderland, the train was pretty safe for the most part. Venturing out was the only risk. But here, we already have reason to believe it isn't safe here. Why would there be so many guns around this place unless people needed to be ready to take something down?

I'm hoping that most of the residents are as well behaved as they were at Wonderland. [Minus, well, Jack. But Jack isn't the majority of the residents.]

For the most part. [Except Accelerator died in his arms on that train. But he isn't going to say that.] If nothing terrible happens at reset, I'm going to be even more worried than I already am.

[He sighs and replaces the clip in his sidearm, sliding it back into the holster on his belt.] I wouldn't call them 'well behaved'. [Yeah, he still has the scars from Wonderland.] But if things stay quiet too long, I wouldn't hold my breath.

[Well he kind of saw you after it happened. But let's not talk about that happening.] Don't remind me of reset. I don't ever look forward to resets.

I meant for the most part. We'd be in constant trouble if everyone went crazy as soon as our collars got deactivated.

[That's true. But it still isn't something he likes talking about.] Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. This week is one of those 'don't' weeks.

I think it's a little too optimistic to expect much degree of peace and quiet from the other residents going into next week...
