Summary: Basically zombie!Harry infecting everyone he comes in contact with, biting Draco Malfoy (ha!), and eating his dad until the doctors pull his body away.

James had gone to check on Harry just past two, but he'd gone from his bed. Being the concerned not-yet-a-father that he was, he went out looking for him.

"Oi Harry! Harry!" He chased down the hallways thinking that he can't have gotten far, he looked horrible this morning, nearly unable to form words.

He hadn't really gotten too far out of their suite, stairs are coming up and while part of his mind registers the things his body won't quite get the signal in time. If James is fast enough he might just catch his son before he takes a tumble down the stairs, his voice blocked by enough walls that it didn't catch his slim attention span.

"Harry--!" He rushes after him, grabbing his hand right before he could topple down the stairs. "Oi, mate, pay attention!"

He pulled him around to face him, other hand going to Harry's cheek. "You alright?"

Just biting or actual noms?

Harry now notices the voice, struggles briefly to keep going forward before he's pulled back away from the stairs. Slowly he turns his blank gaze toward James, his glasses missing so all the zombie sees is a blurry figure. All that comes out of Harry's mouth is a groan, or is it a moan? Whatever it is doesn't matter, Harry's now reaching out to try and grab at James.

He's hungry and right now there's food right in front of him.

Food?

Why not, humans were made up of meat like everything else or most of it. And the thought isn't disturbing in the slightest even if he could understand the thought.

"Harry--" James doesn't shove him off, though, just confused. "Harry, can you even hear me?"

Look James! He's drooling! Isn't it so cute?

Okay, admittedly it's not all that cute on a fourteen year old as it is on a baby. And really it's never adorable at all when they're drooling on you.

He's got a hold of James' shoulders and the blank look in his eyes continues as he tries to actually bite his father's throat out. It's the quickest way to get his food to stop talking.

James shoves his face back, suddenly catching on. "Merlin's--"

He's trying to get away, but Harry's still got a hold on him. Shoving a hand in his pocket, he tries to get his wand, but it falls to the floor so he's simply staring in horror at his son, bringing a knee up to try and pry him off.

If Harry got his teeth into James' neck before he was successfully pushed away - not much strength left in gripping things, hence why it took him so long to get out of his room - there will be skin and flesh in his teeth. And oh god is he chewing on it? But if not he'll be stumbling forward again to try and get a bite once more, feet managing to kick his wand away.

James screams when he's bit, Harry's teeth sinking through his skin and into his flesh. He tries to punch him, to beat him off, sudden adrenalin kicking in. He manages to get a knee into Harry's gut, shoving him away as well as he can.

Harry's body just takes the abuse, not even flinching in his task to get at food, to make it stop squirming. He's hungry and it's fighting unnecessarily. But the only way he has to get James to stop moving is to bite and scratch and try and get him to die that way. Even shoved away he stumbles back a few paces and tries to shuffle toward him again with another groan.

/hugs Also just isn't letting himself die. He's just getting zombied.

James takes the moment of freedom to grab his wand from the ground, waving it wildly at Harry. "Petrificus Totalus!"

The thought of Harry trying to hurt him-- to eat him, it seemed, was unfathomable, but hurting him was even worse.

James get to be a zombie? 8D

Luckily for James and unluckily for Harry the spell hits and Harry's groans are just that, groans out of starvation. You're going to make your zombie son starve here in the very same spell that his friends used on Neville. What are you going to do with him now?

"Fuck..." James looks down on him, shoving his wand in his pocket. "Harry..."

He knees down next to him, hands waving uselessly over him. A moment later, he groans and grabs him, heaving him up over his shoulder. It's difficult since, really, they're about the same size, but James manages it, dragging him back to the suite and laying him down on his bed. He's going to keep the door unlocked until he has to lock himself in too.
