Summary: Kurogane's been gone for two weeks and Fai, subsequently, is starving to death. He hurries over to help.

The wave of relief that had crashed through Fai when he saw Kurogane was back was something hard to describe. If he alone was the one suffering from this hunger, maybe he would not have felt so strongly, but the last thing he ever wanted to do was force his problems onto others, people like Mello who would not be involved otherwise. He made a face at the very thought, but contented himself with knowing that it would be fine soon.
It was actually good timing on Kurogane's part, since Fai couldn't stay awake for long periods of time any more, which was his only indicator that he was nearing dangerous territory, as Mello seemed to be refusing to complain of what was no doubt crippling hunger pains. It was due to this tendancy to faint now at awkward times that he was currently lying on the bed with the laptop beside him. He pondered for a moment how different this was from the last time he had been forcibly starved, when he was young. He had lasted for much longer then, perhaps vampirism changed that. Ah, he had also given up his magic, that much have done something.
Putting those thoughts to the side, he shut the laptop and waited for Kurogane's no doubt noisy entrance.
