[The tone says more than simple words ever could. Just strong enough to be heard, just demanding enough to not be ignored, but with softness and familiarity.]

[Alfred does glance up at him-- it's that tone that he automatically responds to. He looks like a mess, face pale and eyes red-rimmed] Hey, man.

[He sits near the other nation, close enough to lean against, not even bothering to ask if it's okay to do so or not.]

....you know, I would answer but I think you know what I'm gonna say already. So. [Alfred just drops his head onto Lithuania's shoulder, sighing] ...fine. Whatever. I don't even know.
