[Dash is flitting around the biodome, already mourning the loss of the giant sky of Wonderland when she spots him, not noticing his state] Hey America! Hey!

[You'll have to forgive him, Dashie, for grunting in reply and curling his knees up to his chest]

Ameeeerica! [She flaps down to sit by him, then tilts her head, poking him with a hoof] America, what's up?

...nothing. Hey, Dash. [Just look at that forced smile as he reaches up a hand to scruff her mane]

Yeah, right. [She settles down next to him, bumping his arm with her shoulder] I know you humans enough by now to tell that that, Mr. Country Guy, is a totally fake smile.

[America watches her for a second with unreadable eyes. His mouth drops down out of that grin, at least, and his shoulders slump] ...you know my brother? Canada?

The really quiet guy? [She drops her own smile too, his mood kind of having killed hers] Yeah, I met him.

...yeah, well. [America shakes his head, voice rough and low, and suspiciously choked] They terminated him.

Termin... [Her own voice goes small and quiet] Those-- they always do this! America, I'm so-- this-- [She wracks her brain for something that expresses what she wants to say and settles on what Hit Girl taught her last week] fucking stupid!

Woah woah-- [Alfred startles, looking up at her] Where'd you learn that?
