Immediately, he's a bit concerned; it's getting harder and harder to turn off his worry for others, what with the kids he's been dealing with lately.] Yukina? [He says softly.] Is everything alright?

Are you alright? Did you need me to heal you?
Reply
I'm more worried about you. You're lookin' pretty down.

[Really, healing would be nice, it'd be normal. Thinking about Kurama was getting difficult.]
Reply
So what's got you so down? [Going to just ignore the offer of healing unless she presses again. He always thinks he's a bother if he gives in too easily to help.]

It's cruel to tell her there might still be hope. But he wants to offer some semblance of comfort.] I'm sorry to hear that. [He whispers, expression turning a little more gentle.] It's always hard to lose someone. But... 'least if it's true, they can't hurt him anymore.
[Bucky is reaching out, but he catches himself before he can touch her, draws back. He doesn't want to pry into anyone's memories.]

No. I guess not. I will miss him so much.
Reply
I know you will. He'll be missed a lot, m'sure. [He says quietly, scooting a little closer, not touching yet.] ...D'you want a hug, Sunbeam? I don't mind if you initiate, but I don't want to pry into your memories. [He just prays the one she'd get from him would be a good one. Maybe thinking happy thoughts will help.]

Yukina inched closer to Bucky, feeling awful while doing so, and wrapped her arms around the older man, hugging him, like a child would hug their father. She buried her face into his chest and just clung to him, wanting comfort.]

He knows the memory transfer is coming when she hugs him, but he's relieved when it flashes through his mind; his last birthday, the cake all covered in candles (literally), his 'family' cheering 'Happy birthday, Avenger!' at him. It's a good one, a tame and happy memory, and he's thankful for that, at least.]
It's gonna be alright. [He murmurs, one hand gently rubbing circles against her back. The same way he comforted the boy he'd like to call 'son' not too long ago. As long as contact wasn't broken, there wouldn't be another transfer, at least.]

She nodded against Bucky's chest, not wanting to speak right now in fear only sobs will come out. The one thing she did do though was shut her tired eyes that were stinging from the tears she shed.]

Steve brought him back to the world. Maybe now, he's finding his place in it.
Comforting a child like this, he realizes he's changing, but maybe it could be a good thing.]

Thank you.
[She whispered to him, moving positions a bit, all the better to cuddle with, not loosing contact, so no new memory would be transferred.]
Reply
Don't mention it. I'm always here if you need me.
