Who: Ramona and Sollux When: 6/11 ...evening. Where: Ramona's suite Summary: Yeah Ramona and Sollux are running into each other. Rating: PG13? Warnings: Violence I would assume. Swearing.
He literally cannot move as she walks towards him. He can't stop staring. Each time he tries to force his gaze away he only sees another injury. Even with his own mind telling him to hurt Ramona, he can't help but get angry that she'd gotten so hurt, supposedly by someone who loved her. He finally tears his gaze away, trying to focus on the floor instead.
"If he cares about you so much than why won't he take it off." he spits out, voice filled with venom. He still didn't trust Jack, he probably wouldn't ever trust him. Still he isn't given much time to dwell on the thought as she comes closer to him.
Half of him wants to turn and flee, the sensible half, the half that knows something is about to happen. Something Sollux won't like. The other half of him wants to stay. Wants to hurt her. Wants to help her, and while he's scared of what he might do. He doesn't want to leave her either. She was clearly in pain, he couldn't just leave her. Not after seeing her like this.
"Stop coming closer." he asks, maybe if they could only keep the distance. Maybe..
"He tried that... I almost broke his jaw." Almost... but not quite. She hadn't been able to do a fraction of the damage Jack had done to her. She felt pathetic about that. Unable to make him happy... unable to make him hurt.
She realizes she's been steadily moving closer only when Sollux tells her to stop. She freezes. "I... don't know if I can. That's why you have to go! I love you, Sollux."
Imagine what wonderful things she could do to him if she got her hammer. Ramona smiles.
Love, that word had been getting thrown around a lot by people close to him lately. He guessed he always knew which people cared about him, but hearing them actual say that was something completely different. It was surprising, probably more than it should have been, but still surprising nonetheless.Unfortunately for both of them love was not something good to have this week, and while Sollux's eyes widen in shock, his arm also flings outward, giving Ramona a psychic push. He doesn't even think about it, it just happens, that familiar red and blue knocking her backwards.
Fuck.
"Ramona, I didn't-!", his mind was scrambling for an excuse. Here he had been asking her not to come closer because he hadn't wanted them to start fighting each other, and he'd made the very first move. Just hearing her say that, he'd had to.
"I'm sorry." It's really all he can say. He doesn't have an excuse. He did it, it was just his natural reaction to statements like that this week. He still doesn't want to leave her, but he doesn't want to hurt her, and he's more afraid of doing that than he cares about making sure she's okay. He feels like shit about it, feels like he's a shitty friend, but worse than that because Ramona was like a big sister to him. He was even worse than a bad friend if he left her now. But his hands reaching behind him looking for the door knob anyway.
The push is beyond unexpected. Ramona falls backwards, bouncing once, and slides into a wall. Oh, Sollux. You just made her so happy. She pushes herself up, laughing as she does. "You meant it. I know you did. Ever since Venice... I'd do anything for you, little bro."
She was up and launching herself at him as soon as he had his hand on the doorknob. She slammed him into the wall, threading her bloody fingers in his hair and yanking his head back with her mouth at his ear. "Remember when I cut my hand on your horns? This is going to be so much worse. I can already tell."
Lack of sleep and constant attacks had Ramona a little out of her mind. She really did want to let Sollux go, but at this point the experiment had full control of her mind and body.
"I just want to hug you until your organs pop out."
She was laughing. Hopy fuck she was laughing, what the hell was even going on here. If anything could clue Sollux in to the fact that Ramona was in less than perfect mental health right now, that was it. She tackles him into the wall and the back of his skull makes contact with it with a loud crack sound. Fuck. He sees white for a moment from the force of his impact and hisses in pain.
She's talking to him, sure, but hell if he's comprehending what she's saying right now. He feels wet fingers close to his scalp and he shivers, knowing they have to be covered in her own blood. It makes him pity her, and that pity reminds him of how much she means to him, and of how much he wants to make her hurt.
Color starts to bleed out from his eyes, his shades already knocked to the ground from his earlier impact against the wall, but despite it all he still has enough frame of mind to be horrified at what that means. This has to stop. It can't get any worse. Please don't let it get any worse.
"Ramona.. RM." he says, his voice pleading. "Please."
