"It you lot's fault for trying to stay up," he laughed, not getting up himself. He really rather wanted to, but lazing around was so much nicer for the moment.
"That's not shh," Severus groaned, sitting up with a tired scowl that looked very close to one his older self might wear, hucking his pillow towards James' head with surprising force.
Remus groaned again, something that could have been "you lot are mad," but it wasn't really clear. He did, however, join Severus in the pillow-tossing, also aimed up at James above him.
Rather than toss his pillow at James he used it to cover his head. "Don't make me come over there, Jamesy." Not that he really wanted to so there would definitely be some kind of severe punishment.
Severus looked mildly offended, but there was also a strange...thrill that came with those words that had him glaring in his confusion. "I'll do worse if you don't shut up.""
"I'll shut you up myself," Remus offered quietly, tossing up another pillow. His aim wasn't good but it was a hard throw. For some reason, all he wanted to do was hurt James.
...which was, when he thought about it, very scary, and Remus promptly frowned. "....something is wrong."
Sirius groaned and finally rolled away from the wall. Obviously they weren't going to be quiet. "You lot are horrible. I'm torn between hitting you all and finding somewhere else to sleep."
"I'm sure you could, mate. Why don't you try?" His laughter just wouldn't stop. James almost fell out of his bunk, shaking the whole structure instead.
Severus growled, and kicked his sheets off, climbing out of bed and across to the other, intent on climbin up there and smacking that grin right off of him.
"Something is very wrong," Remus repeated more loudly, finally sitting up. "Severus, what are you doing?" He scrambled down near the ladder, kicking the sheets aside, to try and stop the boy from getting up there.
"Noooo," he groaned, trying to cover his head again. A weeks worth of little sleep had left him cranky and beyond tired. "Shh."
