For once, he was dumbstruck. Blue eyes stared at the woman, his hand still clenched on Mugen and ready to draw but his killer intent wasn't there.

She didn't move, when he did, instead just watching him.
"... Do you know where this is? I think I've managed to get myself lost."

He frowned, even he knew it was an odd question. But what the hell was he supposed to say? "We're in a strange city, Gotham I believe." His hand went back to his sword, but just to fiddle with the ring and tassels on the butt of the hilt.
"Do you need hel-" Kanda took another step forward, not realizing he had run out of ground and stumbled head over heels into the cold water.

Stepping carefully to the edge of the pond, she stood with one hand over her mouth, a smile in her eyes.
"Are you alright?"

He looked up at her, if she were Allen he'd pull her in with him without a second thought. But, he wanted some answers out of her and doing that would probably make that impossible. Instead he took her hand and used it to pull himself from the pond.
"Do you... know me by any chance?"

"I'm sorry, I'm afraid I don't. Have we met?"

Frowning, he took off his coat and slung it over his arm. "What's your name?"

"... Karma. Are you sure we haven't met?"

"... Not officially..." He was almost afraid to look away from her. If he did she might disappear like her ghost used to. "Did you know a Yu Kanda..?"

"I do... How do you know him?"

"Would you believe that.. I share the same name?" Kanda was at a loss. He had no idea what to say to this woman and she probably thought he was crazy. Though, he wasn't exactly sold on who she was either.
