Sasha opened the door, using a flashlight he taken from Whispering Rock looked at the girl at the door.

"Hello, I'm Sasha." He said with a polite nod. "May I help you?"

The temperature surrounding the seven-year-old was notably warmer, and in the darkness, she was vaguely luminescent. That could just be imagination, though.

She folded her hands against her abdomen, frowning. The blackness around her was almost tangible, like a thick psychic smog full of every possible bad thing that could happen to a person.

"John told me to come to you. I'm not sure why. He said you would help me?"

She wondered if by 'help', John meant 'punish for talking so much about the burning'.

Sasha blinked, now a little worried. "Come on in, Miss-?" If John told her to come to him, there must have been something very wrong with this girl.

"My name is Alessa, sir."

She took off her shoes respectfully before stepping inside the man's room, her expression betraying little of her emotions. It was hard to actually feel anything through the smog, but the darkness was spreading out, heating up the room and trying to pull something from it.
