Soul glanced at Maka from the side. Sometimes he would wonder what a normal life might have been like without stuff like this happening all the time Facility or not. Nah, it woulda been boring. He looks back into the room.

"Alright Maka, if we're gunna do this, let's make it cool."

In a flash, he was fully transformed and in her hand.

"Ready when you are."

She grinned back at his reflection in the scythe, catching him easily. Even in a grim situation like this, soul could put her at ease with just a few words.

"Watch my back, Soul." It wasn't a reminder because she knew he'd do it anyway, it was an acknowledgement that they were in this together.

"This bastard is going down!"

"He's killed too many people." He was still furious at himself for not getting there in time to do anything to save Rosette, just Sebastian had taken far too many lives to let it go on any longer.

"He won't kill anyone else!" That was when Maka saw her opening and charged at Sebastian's back. She was sure he would sense her coming, and was ready to block in an instant, but PM had been fighting on her own long enough.

PM was exhausted. She was sure she could keep this up for much longer, but she just wasn't used to the prototypings, not to her balance being off from the wings and loss of an arm, not to the first guardian powers playing havoc with her senses. Teleporting from place to place to keep up with Sebastian was making her dizzy, but if she slowed down then it would all be for nothing.

She was dimly aware of someone approaching behind Sebastian, and she darted to the side to swing the blade at the demon's face and occupy his attention.

PM had been a worthy opponent so far but he was growing to tire of her. A nusiance from the start, Sebastian's metal pieces were running thin and he was sorting to whatever he could get his hands on. Licking his lips, his fingers curled on the last shard and he threw it rather hard at her chest. He teleported again but them time at a various distance and then just to taunt her he pulled out his last metal piece a very long jagged piece. There was teal blood all over it.

Lips curled up in a knit little expression and he was about to teleport again when he sensed something at his back. Eyes shifted lightly over his shoulder and he turned around to greet her, bringing the metal piece upward to block.

His face brightened as if to say 'Hello Maka' before he dragged the blade down the handle of Soul's body before porting again. They would have to be quicker..

Soul gritted his teeth, feeling the vibrations run through him. If they were going to be successful, he had to concentrate on his connection with Maka, for their sake, and for the sake of those that still were alive and in danger, and those that had died. His concern turned to matching Maka's wavelength, he became just a bit lighter in her hands.

Maka jumped back from the blow after the blade finished its decent, forcing her strained muscles to keep Soul upright for defense. The sudden heaviness that lifted and that signaled a closer connection of their souls made it easier to withstand. She didn't swing at him though. Sebastian was too fast, and being unguarded for too long was dangerous. Instead she dodged and tried to come up behind him, blade still poised in front of her.
