Vaarsuvius didn't generally like eating in the cafeteria. Too many people. S/he liked chatting with people on the network because s/he liked hearing hirself talk and there were intellectuals here, but s/he generally disliked being with strangers.
Although today it wasn't just about eating. Tension was crackling in the air, and s/he just waited. Waited for the first roar, punch, or shriek.
S/he was reluctant to admit it, but s/he had intensely missed the thrill of combat.
