Nepeta had been lounging in a tree all morning. Branches near the top were too thin and had a boring view of LEAVES! The ones near the bottom were thick and good for sleeping on. They also kept her mostly out of sight and out of reach! A safe place to sleep, indeed.
But she had been sleeping all day! Too much lounging around was boring and she was starting to get restless. Purrhaps, if she was lucky, someone would come along and pass under her tree compurrletely unaware! Purrhaps she could get the jump on them! Purrhaps she could POUNCE right on their head!
