Lavi sat in the middle of his bed, the door to his room wide open for once as he awaited those that he called friends in this strange place. Friends... Such a new term and yet so old, finally allowing himself to have them had made a burden he hadn't realized he had been carrying lift from him. Did Bookman know how much it had been weighing his apprentice down? Did he care? In the back of his head he heard Deak snort at him for even thinking of such a thing, Of course he knew, why else would he keep hounding us about it in the first place, 49?
