Darc was beginning to feel restless as he waited within the church for Kanra to return; as he had always found on the rare occasions when he’d entered human buildings, the sheer scale and intricateness of the structure left him feeling vaguely intimidated...it was, after all, a world away from what he was used to. There was also the fact that, without Kanra around, he was beginning to doubt his judgement just a little; should he really have agreed to stay here like this? He was used to doing things alone and social interaction was yet another thing that he had only limited experience of; still, she made him feel surprisingly calm (a rarity in and of itself) and he supposed the church was as good a place to set up camp as any.
His internal musings were interrupted a few moments later when the sound of the door creaking on its hinges snapped him back into the present; he immediately got to his feet, ruby eyes fixed on the aperture ahead of him as his hand moved to the hilt of his sword. It never hurt to be too careful, after all.
