Summary: Aoko's still scared Kaito's going to disappear on her and goes to cling on him.

It didn't take long. Kaito had been checking the network again when he heard the knock, so he got up to open the door without much hesitation. He already had an idea as to who it was before he answered.

"Aoko?" He asked, more concerned then surprised when he saw the girl.

She felt her relief spread through her like a wildfire the instant the door opened to reveal the magician she found herself so completely and totally in love with. Her heart was starting to beat faster just as it always did with Kaito was around. Before she could really stop herself she hugged him tightly. He was still here. At least... an ugly voice in her head pointed out, for now.

"I-I think Wonka-san's gone now..." she stated, aware that Kaito had never actually met the man.

Kaito didn't know what to say. It was true that he'd never had a chance to actually meet Wonka, but Aoko had mentioned him a couple of times. So Kaito just hugged her back and didn't say anything.

Aoko forced herself to take several breathes and felt reassured that Kaito was actually there when she felt his arms wrap around her small frame as he hugged her back. It was probably pathetic that she was coming to him again for probably the fiftieth time since his arrival for comfort like this. Not to mention it was downright selfish. And probably stupid too, considering she couldn't get her heart to stop hammering in her chest and if he couldn't hear it he could probably feel it.

She took another deep breath to try and calm herself down and leaned her head against his chest, wondering if his heart was beating anywhere near the speed hers was.

Kaito just held her, not quite sure what else he ought to do, since he still felt a bit uncomfortable somehow, even though they were supposed to be dating or something now. That wasn't important right now though, or it shouldn't be important, because Aoko needed him. Still, this was pretty new to him, so maybe his heart was beating a little fast too.

He rubbed her back gently and buried his face him her hair, deciding to push that aside for now.

The sound of his heart beating at about the same speed hers was made her swell with happiness. Maybe another person would think she was nut for thinking about it like that but the point was that Kaito's heart was beating irregularly just as hers was. He was nervous same as her and it meant that he did actually care about her the same way she cared for him.

...and maybe it was mean that she had ever doubted him. She swallowed a small gulp of air and took a calming breath before moving her hands to tangle in the fabric of his shirt and moved to pull him down to her level to so that she could kiss him.
