So, in the unfamiliar gear, Kenshin took a few practice swings and carefully gauged the 'bat' and how it moved, what it felt like, what it weighed...before holding it to the side and bowing at his opponent, almost formal but for a slight grin. This was...so SILLY...

"... We seriously have to wear these?" He groaned.
Kanda did much as Kenshin did, swinging the bat around and testing his grip. Once he was satisfied, he reached back to test the tie in his ponytail, making sure it was tight. The last thing he needed was his hair escaping mid-fight... like it tended to do most of the time anyway.

Not to be helped though. Hopefully the game would be fun, at least...
After their bow, Kenshin took the bat in both hands and focused, taking a proper kenjutsu stance of readiness. The collars limited all abilities, but the slighter man focused all the same. Eyes narrowed slightly, grin gone and replaced by a more serious expression.

... And he'd be lying if he tried to say he wasn't looking forward to an opportunity to face off with the exorcist on even ground. No Innocence and no magic, just Link's martial skills versus Allen's oddly effective form of brawling.
Weapon in hand (as if it could really be called that), Link fell into his own fighting stance. "When you're ready, Walker."

Now adrenaline had him pumped up and he was brimming with energy, hefting the makeshift bat back and forth.

He twirled the bat in his right hand, getting a feel for the weight of it, or lack thereof. Then he passed it to his left hand, judging whether or not the lessened weight would make it any easier for him to wield but he just didn't have enough strength in his left hand to keep the grip on it. So he just tosses it back to his right hand and flashes Roxas a cocky smirk.
"Alrigh, kid. Let's do this, eh?"

Some a lot bigger, he thought with a tiny, wry smile. Someone whose chest he came up to would be no problem, especially if he was as uncomfortable in the judging outfit as he looked.
Smirking to himself, Roxas glanced at Axel, waiting for the signal to begin.

And stared.
And stared.
He wondered if he could use very large snakes to make a better ring, one that was efficient and didn't look so.... he poked at the ring, surprised it didn't crumble.
He was dressed in the outfit he was instructed to wear, and his weapon was on the ground next to him. He would remain this way, scrutinizing the disgraceful enclosed area, until his opponent arrived.

The outfit did feel a little silly, but Jet wasn't one to complain. After the Consortium left him without ANY clothes TWICE now, he certainly felt little shame in the get-up. Although, given Jet's normal choice for clothing, one might wonder if he ever felt any shame in his appearance to begin with.
Jet looked around scratching his head with the bat in hand.
"I'm a dual weapon fighter; don't suppose they'd give me two of these?-"
But he notices there isn't even enough supplies for that.
"No? Ah well"
He cheerfully turns to greet his opponent instead.
"Hey there. You must be Sai then, lets have a great match, Okay

He let the boy get acquainted with the area as well as the equipment in silence, until he was greeted.
"Hello, Jet-san," he greeted the other, remembering his name from that long ago encounter he'd had with him, not that he knew he had said anything wrong, he never really knew when he said something wrong unless they told him, explicitly and with an explanation.
"Yes, let's have a great match," he repeated the greeting, finding it much easier than coming up with his own.
He picked up his own weapon he'd left on the ground, and walked to the middle of the ring, bowing respectfully like he would at a dojo.

Expertly he twirled the bat he'd carved together with Allen, glad to see that they were indeed covered in the lovely blue fabric he had taken the time to dye. And while the outfit wasn't magnetic by any means it was very well done and the sight of the little balls made him smile widely.
Blue eyes looked up at his opponent, giving her a smile as well.
"Ready Usagi?"

Having put on the red outfit, she returned the smile and nodded. "Yes!"
[ooc: See this. I APOLOGIZE TO THE WOOOORLD!]
