Summary: Sasori wants answers about his current predicament.

It had taken Sasori a bit longer than expected for him to reach Deidara's room. Not so much because he found the stark passageways particularly difficult to navigate; instead, he needed the time to think over his current situation and get his emotions under control.
Despite his assertions to the contrary on the network, he certainly remembered dying; he'd wavered just for a moment, succumbed to the weakness that had dogged him continuously for as long as he could remember. Seeing his life's work destroyed before his eyes, the realization that came to him that he had nothing else left...it had made him careless, and had led to a fatal mistake.
Reflecting back on it now, all he could see was his own foolishness and weakness. The self-hatred that welled up at what he'd done was overwhelming. Puppets that were damaged could be repaired, he could have overcome this setback with perseverance. Instead, he'd failed his art, turned his back on the commitments he'd made to his work and abandoned everything he'd built his life around.
Abandoned his duty to his comrades as well, to Deidara. Although, it wasn't as though he would have been missed, he wasn't foolish enough to believe that for an instant. They might function well enough as partners but Sasori had no illusions that Deidara genuinely gave a damn about him.
No, this was why it was even more vital that he keep everything buried. Any respect Deidara had for him would be lost if he found out the truth. Sasori wasn't about to accept that escape was essentially impossible no matter what that document said, but if he was going to be stuck here for some time, he couldn't risk alienating his partner.
And so by the time he finally reached his destination he'd composed himself as best as he could, and knocked. "It's Sasori."
